A: Reliable sells its products through Distributors. In many cases a consumer may buy replacement parts from the Original Manufacturer of the product such as the trailer or implement manufacturer. Q: CAN I REPLACE A DAMAGED SPINDLE ON A RUBBER TORSION AXLE?
A: Typically, the spindle cannot be replaced on a Rubber Torsion Axle. The spindle alignment and welding is the most critical aspect when manufacturing axles, and to replace it would not allow for this process to be accurately repeated. A replacement axle is recommended. Please contact your original product manufacturer or view our list of aftermarket parts distributors which is located on our CONTACT page.
Q: CAN AN AXLE BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN SHIPPED?
A: An axle cannot be returned because every axle is made to customer specifications. If you have received an axle you cannot use please contact our Customer Service department using the CONTACT form on this site, and they will further assist you.
Q: DO I HAVE TO USE A SPECIFIC SEAL FOR THE SURE LUBE SYSTEM?
A: No. You will find a cross-reference chart in the Running Gear Service Manual under the TECHNICAL DOCS page of our DOWNLOADS section on this site. The cross-reference chart will provide the National Part Number for a replacement seal which can be found at a local auto parts store. You may also contact one of our distributors by viewing the list of their contact information which can be found on our CONTACT page.
Q: DOES THE OIL BATH CAP WORK WITH ANY HUB OR BRAKE DRUM?
A: No, it must be used on a Reliable Oil Bath hub, drum, or rotor. The Reliable Oil Bath System has a threaded cap which will only fit specific hubs, drums, or rotors intended for use with this system.
Q: DOES THE SURE LUBE GREASE CAP WORK WITH ANY HUB, DRUM, OR ROTOR?
A: No, It must be used on a spindle or axle intended for use with the Sure Lube System. If a cap is installed on an axle without the proper spindle, the cap will come off the first time the unit is greased. The grease must have a method to flow through the spindle which is what the Sure Lube spindle is designed to allow.
